Best Conversation Intelligence Software in 2026 (Honestly Ranked)
Most "best conversation intelligence software" articles are affiliate-farm listicles that rank vendors by who paid the highest referral. This one is not. Sales Kriya is on this list, and we placed ourselves where we honestly belong given our stage.
The whole category has changed in the last twelve months. Recording a call and summarising it is now a commodity. The real question is what happens after the transcript lands. Does the tool score the call against your specific playbook, or against a generic rubric? Does it fill the CRM automatically, or is that a paid upgrade? Does it show you patterns across weeks and quarters, or only per-call? Does it tell the rep what to fix on the next call, or leave them staring at a talk-ratio number?
This guide compares ten tools on those questions.
The ranking
- Gong — the incumbent
- Sales Kriya — the agentic newcomer
- Clari Copilot (formerly Wingman) — the forecasting-first pick
- Chorus by ZoomInfo — the ZoomInfo-native pick
- Sybill — the small-team pick
- Avoma — the content-marketing volume pick
- Fireflies — the universal notetaker
- Salesloft Conversations — the engagement-native pick
- Jiminny — the coaching-first pick
- Fathom — the free tier that actually works
Each entry below covers what the tool is best at, where it falls short, and who should buy it. The exercise is not "who wins overall" but "who wins for you."
1. Gong
Best for: Enterprise sales orgs with dedicated RevOps functions and multi-year budgets.
Gong is the reference point for the whole category. Every buyer has heard of it. Every competitor is defined by contrast to it. The product itself has evolved past pure conversation intelligence into a broader revenue AI operating system with Data Extractor, Deep Researcher, Ask Anything, and Engage for sequences.
Where it wins:
- Largest sales-conversation corpus in the industry, used as training data for its own AI models
- Microsoft co-marketing partnership (inside Microsoft 365 Copilot, Teams, and Outlook)
- Mature integration surface (SOC 2, multi-region, enterprise procurement-approved)
- Foundations bundle includes AI features with no separate upcharge
Where it falls short:
- Effective per-seat cost often runs 2 to 3 times the advertised rate once the platform fee, implementation, and required modules layer in
- Rollout of the newer AI agent layer typically takes several quarters across an enterprise
- Fixed scoring rubric. You do not customise the parameters
- Aggressive multi-year contracts by default
Pricing: Typically $1,400 per user per year plus a $5,000 to $50,000 platform fee. Not published on the site.
2. Sales Kriya
Best for: Enterprise B2B teams that need call intelligence plus deal execution, plus the option of an embedded human sales leader.
Full disclosure: this is us. We placed ourselves at #2 because we launched publicly six weeks ago and cannot honestly claim market leadership yet. But the product does something no other tool on this list does, and that is why the placement is not further down.
Where it wins:
- 45-plus specialised agents share one deal memory. Account Research, Stakeholder Map, Deal Strategy, Pre-Call Brief, Meeting Summary, Call Coaching, Outbound Sequence, Inbox Triage, Customer Deck, Pipeline Dashboard. Every agent reads and writes the same source of truth
- Customisable 7-stage, 47-parameter coaching rubric tuned to your specific sales playbook, not a fixed template. Read the details at /features/call-coaching
- Under 60 seconds from transcript to full scorecard, every time. Sybill's G2 reviewers report Magic Summary generation running to hours
- Pay-as-you-go pricing. $19.99 minimum recharge unlocks the full agent fleet. No seat commitment, no monthly minimum
- Optional embedded Forward-Deployed Sales Leader for 6-to-12-month partnership if the team wants a human alongside the platform
Where it falls short:
- Six weeks post-launch. 7 reviews on G2 (4.9 stars). Trust markers are thinner than Gong or Clari
- Bootstrapped, so no marketing volume yet. You have to find us. We are working on that
- No mobile app yet
- Sales cycle is longer than a pure SaaS purchase because we do platform + optional embedded leader
Pricing: Pay-as-you-go from $19.99. Enterprise partnership pricing is custom.
3. Clari Copilot
Best for: Sales orgs where forecasting accuracy is the dominant pain, and conversation intelligence is a secondary capability.
Clari Copilot (formerly Wingman) is now part of the merged Salesloft + Clari entity as of December 2025. As a standalone product it never had the mindshare of Gong, but bundled with Clari's forecasting layer it becomes a serious enterprise proposition.
Where it wins:
- Best-in-class pipeline forecasting models
- Ships an MCP server that plugs into Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, and Salesforce Agentforce
- Works well for CRO-led revenue orgs where the primary question is "will we hit the number"
- Combined Salesloft + Clari customer base of 5,000-plus enterprise teams
Where it falls short:
- Conversation intelligence is treated as an add-on, not the centre of gravity
- The forecasting model can feel opaque. Signal-by-signal auditability is not native
- Post-merger integration is still in progress. Buyers report mixed experiences
Pricing: Clari Copilot standalone is roughly $60 to $160 per user per month; enterprise deals typically go higher.
4. Chorus by ZoomInfo
Best for: Teams already standardised on ZoomInfo for prospect data.
Chorus was one of the first conversation intelligence products and was acquired by ZoomInfo in 2021. It has evolved primarily as a data enrichment play. If your team lives inside ZoomInfo for prospecting and account research, adding Chorus is a natural extension.
Where it wins:
- Deep integration with ZoomInfo's contact database
- Long track record in the category
Where it falls short:
- Innovation velocity has slowed post-acquisition
- Not the pick if ZoomInfo is not already central to your stack
Pricing: Bundled with ZoomInfo, custom.
5. Sybill
Best for: Sales teams under 50 reps that want the meeting admin gone without an enterprise procurement cycle.
Sybill has raised $14.5M and does around $6.3M ARR per public reporting. G2 rates them 4.8 stars across ~144 reviews. Their sweet spot is post-call summaries and CRM autofill for smaller teams that want the meeting drudgery gone.
Where it wins:
- Clean self-serve pricing. $30 per user per month on the Pro tier
- Invisible Recorder captures calls without a bot showing in the Zoom UI (useful for in-person meetings)
- Ask Sybill is a solid conversational query over calls, CRM, email, Slack, with MCP access to Claude
Where it falls short:
- CRM autofill (the main value per G2 reviews) is locked behind the $90 per seat Business tier
- Fixed coaching rubric. Not customisable to your playbook
- G2 reviewers report Magic Summary generation running to hours in some cases
- No cold outbound (email drafts are strictly post-call follow-up)
- No stakeholder mapping with Miller Heiman roles
- No strategic account plan or customer deck outputs
Pricing: $30 / $90 / custom per user per month. See our full head-to-head.
6. Avoma
Best for: Teams that want a content-marketing-loved brand and are comfortable with average product depth.
Avoma is the content marketing champion of the category. They rank for adjacent search terms like "meddpicc" and "one party consent states" that most of their competitors ignore, and that ranking pulls significant top-of-funnel traffic.
Where it wins:
- Broad meeting-productivity feature set (agenda templates, note-taking, coaching)
- Strong content SEO. Their site ranks for terms adjacent to the category
- Reasonable pricing
Where it falls short:
- Product depth on coaching and deal execution lags Gong and the newer entrants
- No standout differentiation once you look past the marketing
Pricing: $19 to $99 per user per month.
7. Fireflies
Best for: Cross-functional teams that need a meeting notetaker that works across sales, customer success, product, and internal calls.
Fireflies is the horizontal notetaker. It is not sales-specific. That is its strength (works for everything) and its weakness (does nothing sales-specific well).
Where it wins:
- Works across every meeting platform (Zoom, Teams, Meet, Webex)
- Free tier is generous
- Widely adopted, so buyers already have it
Where it falls short:
- No sales-specific scoring rubric, deal linking, or pipeline features
- Positioned as a meeting notetaker, not a revenue tool
Pricing: Free tier available. Paid tiers from $10 per user per month.
8. Salesloft Conversations
Best for: Teams already on Salesloft for engagement, buying "Conversations" as an add-on.
Post-merger with Clari, Salesloft Conversations sits in the combined entity's lineup. Historically it has been the "engagement platform native" conversation intelligence choice.
Where it wins:
- Native inside Salesloft engagement workflows
- Combined Salesloft + Clari relationship at the enterprise tier
Where it falls short:
- As a standalone conversation intelligence product it has never led the market
- Bundling with engagement is convenient for existing Salesloft customers, awkward for anyone else
Pricing: Add-on to Salesloft; custom.
9. Jiminny
Best for: Teams that want coaching-first conversation intelligence at a mid-market price point.
Jiminny leans harder into the coaching workflow than most. If the primary buyer is a Sales Enablement leader focused on rep development, Jiminny reads well.
Where it wins:
- Coaching-forward UX
- Reasonable pricing for the mid-market
Where it falls short:
- Enterprise procurement footprint is thin
- Deal execution and pipeline features are limited compared to broader platforms
Pricing: $85 per user per month (annual).
10. Fathom
Best for: Solopreneurs and small teams that want a free tier that works.
Fathom's free tier is genuinely useful. That is rare in this category, and it is why the tool has spread widely.
Where it wins:
- Free tier is real, not a bait-and-switch
- Easy to try, no procurement
- Widely liked by users
Where it falls short:
- No enterprise-grade features (deep coaching rubric, deal scoring, playbook enforcement)
- More a notetaker than a revenue intelligence tool
Pricing: Free tier plus paid tiers from $15 per user per month.
Decision framework: which one for you
If the primary buyer is a CRO worried about forecast accuracy, look at Clari Copilot inside the combined Clari + Salesloft entity, or Gong.
If the primary buyer is a VP Sales who wants to codify a playbook and enforce it, look at Sales Kriya (customisable rubric) or Gong (fixed rubric, larger dataset). We would say try both on a live account and compare.
If the primary buyer is a founder or head of sales at a team under 50 reps who wants meeting admin gone, look at Sybill or Fathom.
If the primary buyer is a Sales Enablement leader focused on rep coaching, look at Jiminny or Sales Kriya.
If the primary buyer is a cross-functional lead who needs meeting notes across the whole company, look at Fireflies.
If the primary buyer is a RevOps leader inside a ZoomInfo shop, Chorus is the natural pick.
Common questions
Which tool has the best free trial? Fathom has the best genuinely-useful free tier. Sales Kriya lets you try /call-scorer and /deal-scorer without signup. Sybill has a 14-day trial of the Business tier features.
Is Gong still worth it in 2026 with newer AI-native tools around? Yes if you already run Gong and it works. Not obviously if you are starting fresh. The newer AI-native tools compress a lot of what Gong's platform layer does into a single product with faster iteration cycles.
Do I need conversation intelligence if I already run Fireflies for notes? Depends on what you want out of it. If you only need summaries, no. If you want rep coaching against a rubric, deal risk detection, or CRM autofill, Fireflies does not do that.
What about the sales rep who does not want to be recorded? Every tool on this list is subject to two-party consent laws in the applicable jurisdiction. Consent disclosure is required. Reps who resist recording are usually resisting coaching, not recording per se. That is a management conversation.
How fast can I get value? For simple notetakers (Fathom, Fireflies), same day. For coaching-centric tools (Sales Kriya, Jiminny, Gong), two to four weeks to codify the rubric against your playbook. For forecasting-forward tools (Clari), one full sales cycle to see calibration.
The take
The right conversation intelligence tool is the one that answers the specific question you are trying to answer. Do you want less meeting admin, better coaching, more accurate forecasts, or a full deal execution layer? The tools cluster on those axes, and the market is finally fragmented enough that you do not need to make one tool do everything.
If your question is closer to "what happens after the transcript lands," try Sales Kriya at /call-scorer on a real call. No signup, free, one call at a time. If the scorecard flags something you did not know was missing, you have your answer.
